Indian film maker Suman Ghosh’s ‘Mi Amor’ is all set to premiere at Bushan Film Festival which screens as part of the ‘A Window on Asian Cinema’ strand.  The platform is not new to the director. His films “Nobel Thief,” “Uncle Shyamal Turns off the Lights” and “Peace Haven”  and ‘Peace Haven’ were also screened at this festival.

It stars Parambrata Chatterjee and Raima Sen, who are hugely popular in India’s Bengali-language film industry. “I love the way it is organized and the selection of films. Of course there is the best of world cinema, but given my fondness for Asian cinema – Korea, Iran, Philippines, China and of course Japan- where else can we see such a range of Asian films? Having been to Busan a few times before I have a personal connection with the festival too,” says Ghosh.

The film is a co-production between Bongflix, Ghoshal Media and Kolkata 24*7 from the U.S., and Macneill Media from India, with the University of Miami also a partner in the project.
